Commander William Adama: There’s a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.

I was going to write the same and found this

One wonders when what will cause the first soldier to murder an innocent civilian. Now I know that US military has been much better trained than it’s police to stop trigger happy idiots, but with the current regime pushing for more aggressive tactics, I doubt that will be very helpful.

police haven’t had a duty to protect and serve for decades… and since at least 1981 for district-specific case law.

Police are the descendants of fugitive slave patrols and union-busting Pinkertons. “Protect and serve” has always been a lie.

Lol wat… Police is the occupation force of the owner class used against peasants and to protect property of the owners.

People spouting this none sense of protection are delulu… That’s not what the law says and they sure don’t even* pretend like they protect the peasants nor serve them.

I get your point and there is a partial truth to it. You seem to be missing the point of the writer’s efforts. To help you along, if I accept everything you said as unequivocally true, the writer’s point still stands. It’s not a refutation.

OP is talking in platitudes that mean nothing.

But sure in principle they do sound good.

But this language is used to keep the plebs complacent imho

That’s how the regime works, honey.

If you don’t understand that, it just means you are poorly educated and or a bootlicker, which is it?

        none sense

        delulu

Truly the philosopher of our times. We get it, “ACAB” and you don’t see any other possible, and everybody else is a peasant. You should start your own anarchy instance so you can moderate and impose your authority to keep those darn tootin’ plebs and peasants away with your totally-not-authority-figure moderator and administrative pals. Go trying to impose your personal social economic relations and charisma over pre-existing social order were “people are naturally good” except when (you say) they aren’t Anarchy!

It is a show of force. Gestapo is doing a dry run this time.

Next time, freedom enjoyers will get boots on their neck if they don’t rspect the authorita sufficiently eagerly.
