It seems almost absurd and dumb on their part that they didn’t even make 1 billion in decades given their impact, but turns out that’s just the normal rate of accumulation when you don’t just sell out or steal the work of others.

I’m genuinely baffled how many oligarchs had contact with Epstein. I do believe their primary job qualification is a lack of morals, but there’s so many ways to be amoral, you don’t have to all be friends with the guy that offers pedophilia.
What this whole thing has taught me is that there is a market among billionaires for someone to peddle enslaved kids.
Now epstein is gone, and has been for years, but that demand doesn’t just die. I don’t have proof, but there is zero doubt in my mind that epstein is not a one and done. There’s either another epstein, or more likely a dozen smaller epsteins out there.
There’s a part of me that thinks all these ICE abducting kids is being done at trumps order, specifically as a means to replace epstein.
There has been lot of information released indicating Epstein’s child trafficking ring was barely impacted by his absence. He had lots of conspirators, most of whom are probably still at it, nevermind all of the Mossad, KGB, and CIA cooperation.
The only logical explanation I have found about it is by learning about Frankism from Professor Jiang and his youtube channel Predictive history.
I’ll check it out, but it seems pretty straightforward to me. When a social class sits outside the rules the rest of society is expected to live by, they get entitled and they get bored. Since they aren’t entirely immune to public opinion, they also become easy targets for blackmail as they push towards more and more “exclusive” forms of “entertainment”.
Exactly, also people tend to tolerate what their peers consider normal. We’re basically always checking reality off of how those in our circle react to things. This means that if your circle assumes old men always want to sleep with 18-20 year old women, and they do so regularly, then if suddenly a 17 year old girl shows up in the mix and nobody reacts it can be easily rationalized. And from there you can slip to a lot of 16 year olds. And while new people may not be comfortable with it, they likely have financial incentives not to walk away or cause a scene, because he wasn’t just a pimp, he was also a matchmaker, then in that case the rationalization engine that is the human brain can go to town.
Epstein was not just a pedo pimp. He was a power-broker and a fixer for the American and Israeli rich elites. Not everyone was in for the girls, some of them were in for the other illegal stuff.
Epstein’s “day job” was being a socialite. He was the guy who knew everybody. If you wanted an introduction, he could do it. He was the guy who made sure that the riff raff stayed out, even if they were rich.
I’m pretty sure that everybody knew he was always around “young women”, but I strongly suspect that most of the people he interacted with didn’t know about the child sex abuse. They were there for his “rolodex”.
But, the end result is that because he was the guy who knew everybody in a position of power, his network shows who has the power. My guess is that at least half the people he had in his network were not into child sex abuse, and didn’t know that he was involved in that. But, I have only the world’s tiniest violin to play for those people. I think they’re guillotine-worthy because of their abuses of power, and how they hoarded obscene amounts of wealth. For far too long, the ultra rich have had a good public image in the US. People should have been furious with them just for hoarding all that wealth. And, the Epstein folks are the ones who not only hoarded the wealth, but spent it to gain power, which they used to warp society to benefit themselves. So, now everybody’s disgusted with them and hates them, it’s for the wrong reasons, but at least they’re hated.

Even then, there are some regions that tend to disagree, most notably China, Central Europe and South American countries that put the lower bound to as low as 14. Nowhere in marxism does it say murder x group of people. But in a lot of capitalist ideologies like nazism or zionism it is the norm.

My family’s early 1900s experience with Russia did involve that. I’m no lover of capitalism either but most starvation happens for political reasons not supply. Evil people in power don’t care regardless of the economic system.

I know this is not popular, and I do not like Microsoft for many reasons, but if I had to choose between linux and microsoft…I’d still choose MS. The UX is so much better. Linux still has a long way to go. I’ve been using linux on the side since slackware in the 90’s -> today Debian and raspbian.
Update #1 : I knew this wasn’t going to be a popular opinion, and honestly…I don’t care/mind the downvotes? (What does that do anyways??:-)) Regardless, to me I get more done on windows than on linux cause there are more apps for it. With Linux, you either have to search for it in some cryptic repo, and then finding those dependencies…then find the conflicts…or worse have to compile it with some cryptic ass commands…no thanks. Double-click on the EXE or MSI and go. Linux also doesn’t just work out of the box, you really have to monkey with it quite a bit. Drivers are a pain. It’s just simply not there yet. I hope it get’s there. MS is not perfect, but it is one neck to choke!

Windows’ UX is shit.
Windows 11 still has its settings splattered across multiple applications. The Settings application has all the shiny new gimmicks they added, yet still lacks any way to change some basic settings. If you need to reset a local user’s password, you’re stuck going back into the now-gutted Control Panel to do it. And if you want to change something that Microsoft feels the average user shouldn’t be allowed to know exists, you’re using the group policy editor to do it.
Or, how about the way that there’s at least two applications installed by default that do the same or very similar things? Windows Media Player or Videos? Paint or Paint 3D? Cmd.exe or Windows Terminal?
How about the design language inconsistency? The Run dialog was left looking like a Windows 7 dialog and didn’t get a dark mode until the mid 2020s. The Event Viewer and Windows Firewall UIs are still something right out of Windows XP, but with Vista-smeared paint applied on top.
Or, if that’s not bad UX, then how about the ads in the start menu? Or how OneDrive tries to trick you into uploading your desktop to the cloud? Or, maybe all the telemetry services running in the background and slowing shit down?
If you’re using a distro with a worse UX than that, then that’s on you. There’s plenty of options that provide a more cohesive UX than Windows
Well, I never said windows was perfect…just the better / faster solution of the two options to get things done.
The main problem with Windows (regarding GUI, there are many other issues) is that it’s never consistent. It changes with the mood of Microsoft’s execs and their need to set the trend, while at the same time having a pretty poor grasp of what the trend is. Look at Windows XP, Vista, 7 and then Win 8. Where’s the consistency? The nice thing about Linux is that you don’t have people on top telling you what the system to control your (“this”) computer will look like, whether you like it or not. On Linux, you control how your system will look, feel and behave. It’s your computer.
In my experience consistency is not Linux strong suite. Especially when getting things done, you need to be comfortable with archaic commands.

Of all the reasons to debate Windows > Linux you chose UX. Windows UX sucks, whereas Linux can be just about anything you can image with a little effort.
I think the user experience on windows is way better than linux. It’s not perfect, but linux is even farther from where windows is currently.

Gnome. On windows, I think getting things done is easier. Setup is easier(being well supported by vendors). No need to hunt down for cryptic dependencies or commands just to get sound or graphics running right. No compatibility issues with windows.
