What distro, and how do you like it compared to windows so far? (And I’m assuming you’re not using Arch since you didn’t say anything)

I just put “[Object object]” in one of the survey fields when I don’t like the company.
Does Debian have HWE kernels like Ubuntu? They were called backports I think
RTFDS is the equivalent for electric engineering enthusiasts. It’s supposed to be tedious af, but I honestly enjoy reading data sheets for some god forsaken reason.
No idea. Past me apparently liked this meme enough to save it to my phone.
“Yellow the goose self”?
I think my translator is hallucinating again
Edit: and if not, that’s a dope metalcore band name
From the way American mega-corporations are going all-in on this, it seems like a long-term choice; so I think it’s one of two things: the shareholders are demanding that they go full republican (which isn’t happening AFAIK), or they’re trying to survive because they know something you don’t.
Disclaimer: not a US citizen/resident, but sad to see this happening tbh.
Edit: or it’s short-term and caused by Trump pressuring everybody to do controversial stuff in order to distract the public from the Epstein files.
Shake my head my head?
And so cometh the foretold LSW (Linux Subsystem for Windows)
Ah. I was turbo-scrolling and didn’t catch the context. Thanks!
Edit: oh, and the reason I found this plausible is that some herbivores are opportunistic carnivores and will eat anything given the chance.
What? Can you source that? I’m extremely curious if that’s a real thing.
Nice! CachyOS and Nix are on my bucket list but I’m content with fedora atm. Used to run the CachyOS kernel on fedora before though. I think it’s an interesting choice to enable LTO for the entire kernel, and the performance was top notch! Too bad it broke my kernel headers package which broke the nvidia drivers so I had to cut my losses and purge everything back then.
