I also hate systemd and use slackware and devuan, both of which works on aarch64. I believe Void also works but I never tried it.
USD $60 seems a bit low for an x86 SBC.

I would try getting a tablet. I don’t like Apple devices because of their “jailed” software policy but iPads have awesome display panels, maybe getting an older model for cheap could be good. Have an iPad 3 (2012) and the panel is still miles better than my cheap Lenovo P11 (2021).
Great idea
I haven’t tried. As my script isn’t downloading to WARCs and not compatible with their tracker I believe someone would have to create a new script to run with their infrastructure… Though, maybe even if it can’t be an AT project someone might help, so I guess I’ll try asking.
https://projectsandcastle.org/status it worked on sandcastle, maybe it hasnt been ported to mainline yet?
if usb works then usb networking may be a better option
You have an iPhone 9? It doesn’t exist, you probably have something else.
iPhone 7 got Linux ported, so yes you can. Try looking for postmarketOS (though there aren’t that many working features, it’s good enough for running servers)
Cool, but I don’t think any of these are really new, they’re all already possible with Termux/chroot
Install Win10 LTSC, install explorer7, disable all the telemetry bs (services/policies)
i use seamonkey mail. it literally just works.
Emails aren’t good. They’re still miles better than any of the alternatives.
I hope that happens but probably wouldn’t unfortunately. It has a Mediatek soc. The Key2 port would be more realistic.
slackware btw
i’m surprised they’re using prebuilt binary toolchains
these days you can use gsi versions of lineageos, they generally work fine
