The “Men writing women” subreddit are about sentences. “Women writing men”? They’re entire novels.
Some men after finding out what women’s romance novels are actually like:

Some men should watch Heated Rivalry with their significant others. Great bonding experience.
Okay, so what are they actually like? I have no clue.
Dick and balls man. Dick, and balls.
Porn. It’s written porn, with more story.
And why would I be shocked at someone reading erotic fiction?
It’s not the lack of story that bores the heck out of me in porn made for men. It’s how incredibly stupid it is.
“More” story
I noticed in high school that a lot of the romance novels involve rape. Like a crazy amount of them start the sexual relationship between the man and woman with rape. Then the woman eventually falls for him.
I am assuming that type of shit.
That was a huge thing in the 80s. Even my mom was into that crap. Not really around that much anymore, from what I can see. Now it’s all hot asshole billionaire high school students.
Nope, most will at most have CNC, albeit some might come in weirdly justified ways (e.g. in Lights Out the FMC ponders that her commenting on the MMC’s thirst trap videos that she’d like him to break into her home etc., was explicit consent for him to do so).
Ew, I won’t start reading them in this case.
It’s OK as long as he’s attractive. Or rich. Or both.
They’re like

That explains a lot!
They tend to be fairly sexually explicit - think fanfic levels.
At least that’s been my experience.
I need to start reading romantic novels
Hit me up if you want recommendations.
Me too… And I’m afraid to ask.
I’m not. Spill the beans. We talking nothing but 50 shades here or something?
I’ve heard series like Fourth Wing and Crown of Thorns can be pretty graphic, particularly the former.
Eh, Fourth Wing was pretty mild. The later books are more explicit in the wording, intentionally avoiding the use of “dirty words” and instead choosing a prosaic description of events.
And tbf the entire Empyrean series is pretty mid overall. Up until the second part of Iron Flame it was super predictable and downright boring, formulaic, with a nothingburger story.
Quicksilver is much better, and the spice is much spicier. Oh and boy does it get better with Brimstone.
Honesty I’d like to know as well
It’s literally rule 34 monster porn, but in print.
