Wasn’t the situation the same when explicitly “party of the educated and common people”. I don’t think the problem is ruling class vs common class. Not religious fascists or whatever is your classification of current government.

I just read it in newspaper that some IIT guys are trying seed clouding to reduce the air pollution with rain and they’re failing in the trail runs itself. The apex court is also serious about these issue and Shashi Tharoor gave an editorial article of how devastating the situation in the NCR and all the all states surrounding Delhi are now ruling by the same political party can seek a viable solution to mitigate these problems. But due to the elections happening on other states, their entire focus is on them.

The air pollution is particulate matter in the air. Cloud seeding works by adding particulates to the air for water to condense around and form clouds. This would be literally adding particulates to the air to combat the problem of particulates in the air. While there are cases where fighting fire with fire works, this is not one of them.

      • The cloud seeding was just a government stunt, they were already told it wasnt going to work by IIT professors themselves but they went ahead and wasted 3.2cr of tax money cuz why not? It also would only last a few days anyway as the core causes of pollution remain unaddressed

The government itself straight up denies and even allowed things like firecrackers which made the AQI get even worse than it normally wud (not saying firecrackers are the main cause, but it definitely made it much worse), the gov denies its even an issue and is busy campaigning while the citizens they rule over are having insane problems with reports suggesting everyhousehold suffers from some sort of an issue directly attributed to air pollution

India post 2014 tbh is just a great example of how to cosplay as a democracy just enough that the world doesnt raise an eyebrow but at home minorities (and mind you its not just muslims, it includes christians and even lower caste hindus) continuously harrassed and the income gap becoming wider than under the british rule…
