linuxmemes@lemmy.world•My hot take on the official pronunciation of GNOME
3·4 days agoIt’s obviously pronounced “jif” just like giraffe.
I would replace the Ubuntu logo with a Debian swirl in the third meme.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What is it called when the internet makes something small and minor seem bigger and worser than it actually is?
2·11 days agoDoxing is when you expose someone’s (or a business’s) identity or name or location for the internet to brigade.
Most of the time the target has faced some controversy (often petty and small) and once the internet catches wind, a flurry of fury and hate is unleashed upon the target.
Is this what you mean?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Aight. Let's be honest. How many of you dress for yourselves, and how many dress for others?
12·13 days agoI have more important things to worry about than clothes. Nobody cares what I wear, and frankly neither do I.

Dual boot sucks in the long run. Every time you run a system update on windows or Linux you run the risk of messing up your boot loader.
I recommend not dual booting. Either use a VM for windows or have a dedicated machine that’s windows only.
