The archaeological consensus remains that Neanderthals went extinct because they could not survive the last ice age.
From your article:
Pre- and early Neanderthals seem to have continuously occupied only France, Spain, and Italy, although some appear to have moved out of this “core-area” to form temporary settlements eastward (without leaving Europe). Nonetheless, southwestern France has the highest density of sites for pre- and classic Neanderthals.

Ice wasn’t everywhere.
The last ice age of 40,000 years ago covered everywhere Neanderthals lived, and no Neanderthals survived it. The last Neanderthals went extinct from exposure in a cave in Spain, which was affected by the last ice age.
No sewing equipment has ever been found with Neanderthals. They died of exposure in spite of being more cold-hardy than homo-sapiens, who by the last ice age had mastered sewing tighter-fitting clothing with leather and fur. That’s why we survived the last ice age, and the Neanderthals did not.
Everything invented before the copper age is considered to be part of the stone age.
- Stone age: ends 5000 BCE
- Copper age: 3500 - 2300 BCE
- Bronze age: (tin+copper alloy): begins 3300 BCE
- Iron age: begins 1200 BCE
Neanderthals went extinct because they couldn’t survive the ice age of 40,000 years ago. Unlike homo-sapiens, they never learned to sew, so they couldn’t make tighter-fitting fur clothing to keep warm. They mostly wore loose-fitting animal hides.
According to Google, what we call The Stone Age also included the use of wood products. They were often used together.
Wheels were useless anyway until the invention of the axle, around 3500 BCE.

Reddit mods don’t even have to answer your request for an appeal. So their bans are never overturned.

24·25 days agoMods get to control the political narrative of their subreddits by banning those with opposing views. That makes them more powerful than admins. As an example, Reddit has been so flooded with pro-trans mods that it’s almost impossible to make an anti-trans agenda post in most subreddits without being banned.

2·25 days agoThe user numbers were bogus anyway since Reddit didn’t automatically decrement the user number after banning a member. The banned member had to manually unjoin the subreddit. So the membership count was inflated with banned members.

That building at 7500 S South Shore Drive actually has architectural significance. Built in 1950, all the corner windows wrap around framelessly, allowing nearly unobstructed views of Lake Michigan across the street; one of the first buildings in the nation to implement such window framing. Unfortunately, in 2011 Mayor Daley allowed a school to be built on park land across the street, which blocked the view of Lake Michigan from east-facing windows. I believe losing the lake view is what caused the building to lose prime renters and spiral into subprime building condition it was in at the time of the raid.
