Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is the best way to support Lemmy specifically and the Fediverse in general financially?English
1·7 hours agoSorry, didn’t realize the search box allowed custom domains like that. That’s perfect!
The keyword thing I mean is similar to the “mute words/post/user” feature Bluesky has but using Piefed’s keyword filter (Settings > Filters > Keyword Filters when using the web version)
In my “perfect world” these filters are predefined and put rage bait posts in the same cultural zeitgeist as NSFW ones

2·2 days agoSounds good
The big things I’d want is a longer list of Piefed instances to add and the ability to add keyword and community filters from the app without full on blocking
The double lines on “Enter” in the comment editor so they actually appear is fantastic!

The big drawback is a loss of mobile app selection but I’ve come to like Blorp quite a lot

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it really worth starting a lemmy community?English
4·3 days agoI’ve read Lemmy admin tools are lacking compared to Piefed and Mbin but can’t speak from experience
Still, community moderation is a passion project so if you don’t see a point there probably is none to be had
I wasn’t really being serious but I would say, yes
Sorry = something has gone wrong
No thanks = I’m not interested in an offer but also not apologizing for my actions
Anybody who responds to rejection this way will likely handle it poorly no matter what but don’t frame it as your own failure
“Sorry” = not honest

Are you sure it was a price “increase”?
I got a similar email this morning but it was the exact opposite of what I expected upon closer examination:

Maybe you’ll be treated differently if you struggle speaking English (or French if visiting Quebec) but your post implies that’s not an issue
Of course, if you’re moving instead of visiting the answer a bit more nuanced as the cost of living crisis there is very real

I think direct Piefed/Lemmy/Mbin integration would be best but if they haven’t created a standard format yet no reason a couple apps can’t establish one to be adopted
You can find me on Github with this same handle if you need somebody to help. Normally don’t have time to be active on my personal account there anymore but for this, I’ll find some
