That can happen in any monolithic kernel OS. So basically you have two choices: a) Microkernel OS like Redox (still alpha) b) Hypervisor OS like Qubes.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•The GrapheneOS developers are giving me concerns about the future of GrapheneOS
71·6 days agoDepends on what your threat model is. Sure a fully locked down mobile OS is more secure, but I also care about freedom and privacy. It’s not all black and white.

6·7 days agoIn addition to that, in most European countries you have to register with your ID in oder to get a mobile phone number. So its provably end-to-end related to your identity.
I prefer apps that require no phone number. Like Threema, SimpleX, Session, Status, XMPP, or Tox.

I have had this idea in my mind of building a privacy-first, open source dating app built on “privacy by design” principles. Still didn’t get to it tho.
Tried it, doesn’t work. Too many bugs. I can’t input a location and it fails to auto-detect so I am just living in cyberspace apparently.
Culture. For the same reason why in american music every swearword is beeped out, which seems ridiculous to everyone else in the world. It’s just how it is.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Is MEGA good for privacy and if it isn't, which alternatives should I use?
12·8 days agoDepends on your security and feature requirements. I found that Mega works well for music streaming on mobile, and the E2EE is reasonably trustworthy for that use case.

First you should ask yourself why you would not want advice.
Which results in: a) accept and implement advice OR b) prove the advice wrong
I think it never got much adoption because nobody knows how to pronounce it. Has been around for many years but I’ve never seen it in action.

Also check your RAM for errors maybe.
