I’m no fan of the public sector unions (especially PSAC), but bailing corporations out only for them to cost the economy millions of dollars per day due to necessary job action ain’t it, either. A lot of these employers have let their collective agreements expire, sometimes years ago, because they know they can get the government to force their employees back to work.

If they’re that important to the economy and they’ve proven they can’t handle the intricacies of doing business without a government handout to keep them profitable (check and check), they should be nationalized. Pie in the sky for a second: maybe the revenue from a nationalized Air Canada would mean lower federal taxes or something.

If we don’t try, this will just happen again.

I guess they’re hoping no one buying 2 has played the original or has much familiarity with the source material. Not the worst move from a marketing standpoint, but not really inspiring confidence for me since VtMB is probably one of my favourite linear/sandbox RPGs purely because of the atmosphere and dialog.

No, the combat in VtMB wasn’t very good, but that doesn’t mean the sequel has to be an ARPG. I really hope this is just one person’s opinion and it’s not that bad. Also, Phyre is a cringe name that hasn’t grown on me at all, so that sucks considering she apparently fucking says it constantly.

I’m aware of his history. I don’t need to pretend he’s part of an organization that doesn’t exist anymore, I’m fully capable of realizing he’s full of shit in his present form.

How does that affect what I said? Why does that matter at all? He’s now a member of the federal Conservatives and has been for years since the merger. His fellow Conservatives have told him to tone it down and he’s made a whole song and dance of not listening. When he was a teenager he did the same shit with the Reform party — part of the reason why the merger even happened is due to his lobbying.

There’s a party leadership review in January that I don’t think he’ll make it through because I like to believe in reasoning and logic. But we’ll see! Dumber shit has happened to the Conservatives than him keeping his leadership position in the face of absolute incompetence; Danielle Smith proves that.

Even still, an upgraded GPU or CPU will make an immediate impact even on shitty hardware.

If something pops up that you’ve never seen before, just search online for what it is. If you don’t know what System Information is, literally search “what is system information windows” and find out. This can be done for so many things and you don’t have to wait for an answer.

Additionally, in the “Open with…” dialog on Windows, you can see that System Information is the default application for .nfo files. Just change it to Notepad or something and you’ll never have this problem again.

Mint 22.2 (Ubuntu-based) and Debian Trixie just came out, so I would probably give it another month or two. Some sites say September, but it could take slightly longer.

Ontario and BC wine is okay. I prefer white and I find the whites to be rather nice; I can’t really speak to reds, though I had a nice Ontario Merlot a few years ago. Can’t remember the name, unfortunately.

There’s so much wine outside of the US and Canada though. Chilean wine has pleasantly surprised me lately, like you say. I also like a lot of the stuff coming out of Australia. You may be able to tell I’m on a budget, lol.

I use Podman with Diun (like Watchtower but no auto-updates) and I think that’s the only time I’ve had to mount the socket into the container. Maybe also CrowdSec. Podman is rootless so I feel a bit better about it.

Hell yeah, Shipbreaker had some cool worldbuilding that I vibed with while tearing shit down. Who knows when it’s actually coming, but I’m looking forward to more stuff in that universe.
