Not sure I was following the rules, tbph. Box of laptops and I grabbed some promising looking ones.

I got two laptops from local electronics recycling this past month. One of them is 2020 spec and just needed a charger and some dents smoothed out. Can’t beat rescuing something that’s going in the trash, sustainability wise. If you’re going on the actual used market, Thinkpad like everyone else said.

Because the political machinery is captive to the ruling class.

Different topic but ewaste today is absolutely insane. People throw out working post-2015 “gaming laptops” - maybe a dead battery or something equally simple to fix.

It’s a manipulative fallacy. Humanity has the total ability to control its destiny within what’s physically possible. People presenting two options and demanding a choice of one discount every possibly out of an infinite set of possibilities except those two.
