On night shift, I’d eat for half and sleep for half of my break. Worked out pretty good, 30 mins to eat and 30 min nap.

Excel is still doing the calculations, not the AI. The AI is helping to write functions. You can easily spot check a couple examples then apply that same formula down the column. I don’t really see the issue.
Of all the things to shove AI into, the first thing that came to my mind years back was Excel. It’s handy when I’m presented a spreadsheet of data at work and I just want to do something like “write a function to extract just the number from a column containing data formatted like LPF_PHASE_OF_CARE [PAF 304001]” because I just want to copy paste all the numbers somewhere. It’s trivial to verify it works correctly, I can examine the formula, and I don’t have to wade through numerous shitty Excel tutorial websites to try and teach myself something I’ll use once or twice a year.
Quick shitpost images I share with friends and Excel functions are where I get the most utility out of AI, which in general I think sucks and is massively overhyped.
0·1 year agoI’ve got a similar Cyberpower 1500, it’s simulated sine wave. It’s perfect for my desktop, network gear, and NAS. Pure sine wave seems like it would obviously be better, idk how exactly, but none of my hardware seems to care about simulated sine wave. The 1500 gives me enough time to shut down the desktop and it’ll run the NAS and network gear for a few hours. If I’m full power gaming (5800X3D, 3090, big ultrawide OLED) and the power goes out, I get about 15 minutes. Batteries lasted 3 years before they needed to be replaced, that could have been due to high ambient temperatures.
Glad to see the elephant bone show get some recognition, I’ve liked the comedy critiques as well as the “existential shitpost” style podcasts with the AI voice changer. Love how all the Elephant Graveyard content has a bunch of links between everything, there’s cross references you don’t catch until a rewatch/relisten. Great writing overall.
