Tons of other countries with the right climate to supply us in winter. The USA isn’t unique here in the world. There is virtually nothing that grows in the USA exclusively.

Those examples make total sense. That’s way beyond self defense.
I am not sure how I would react myself. It depends a bit on what’s happening. I might not be able to reign myself in to be honest. But as I said I would deal with the consequences after. Hesitation will kill you.
Easier said than done. That’ll take decades if it’s even possible.
Honestly I would defend myself first and then sort the legal shit out later. You can’t be thinking about legal or not while defending yourself or you won’t make it.
We just need more European (and other friendlies) products on the shelves!
And we want to keep CUSMA
We don’t need to tax ourselves. The boycott is working. Let people who can’t afford much have cheaper groceries. Even if it means they buy US products. Let’s keep boycotting. It’s putting a lot more pressure on the USA than any tariffs here would.
Now, national chains take a look please! We can do with much, much less US products.
Tariffs have never worked when broadly applied.
Btw here is a post with a clip from what Carney said: https://www.threads.com/@team_canada_forever/post/DNq05s-y7XE That’s exactly what I was mentioning in my earlier comment about CUSMA we have the best deal. Let’s stand down on the tariffs and not jeopardize that. We Canadians can still do a lot of harm to them and we have. The gov can’t stop us and the gov can’t be nailed for that in the negotiations.
Corporations won’t stop if they don’t want to. Why? They pass on the cost to the consumer anyways.
If we have to drop the tariffs on CUSMA products to have any chance that the USA isn’t dropping out I am good with that. CUSMA is a great deal in today’s world and unless the USA drops it it’ll be good until 2036. Let’s take that.
I think Carney is just smart. Trump liking him is good for us. We can still do our part. I am done with the USA and so are many Canadians. Our gov can play nice (called diplomacy) while we boycott the hell out of them. Win-win
No sporting life over there? Lowa I would think it’s pretty much available where hiking boots are sold. But maybe I am mistaking. Edit: check their homepage. They have a store locator I see.
If non Canadian is an option look for European brands like Lowa, Mammut, Salewa or Geox. All good quality companies!
We have had this for at least 10 years here in southern Alberta. There is just no hay. Even this year with the rain in summer (came too late). We sold as well. At least cattle prices are up.
I really liked Charlie Angus’ reply: https://youtu.be/9BptD9K1Bu4
You know this wouldn’t ever be a mandate anywhere if we just make commute part of the work hours. Not even paying for parking, gas or transit. Just the time. All companies would immediately back down and order you to wfh.
Try reader mode in your browser. Worked for me. I don’t pay them
Ugh no nuclear.
