I guess the new acronym should be MAAAM
I think what those admins really mean to say is “We don’t need any of the benefits of IPv6, so IPv4 works just fine and making the large scale change is trouble.”, when you already got your DHCP, NAT, Firewall and stuff up and things do work as expected then you don’t really need NDP or SLAAC.
I mean when systemic downvoting brings you a community ban then it kinda works like the algorithm. ;)
Possible reason:
Those that downvoted everything they find uninteresting when checking All have realized voting isn’t anonymous and stopped or been banned from the comms they mass downvote by a moderator who check who it is that downvotes all posts.
I’d dare say lemmy creators wouldn’t mind private votes, they chose not to display voting counts to normal users after all, but that’s not how the ActivityPub protocol is built and honestly can’t be built if you want federated votes.
Or spend $10 for a USB CD/DVD Writer/Reader
I’m not really sure what they’re offering that Heroic Games Launcher, Lutris and Bottles aren’t already offering for free?

See! Not working!
I’ll take your word for it, I’ve never used Lightroom.
Whenever I played around with Darktable it seems finding a tutorial to get the effect I wanted was just a minute of searching away, and there’s a ton of beginner tutorials available too.

But then I was the kid that rtfm the game manual on my way home from the store and love dense UIs as an adult. :)
With GIMP 3.0 it’s a bit better at least, they’ve finally added non-destructive editing:

I’d dare say that unless you’ve already learnt Photoshop (and have to unlearn it) then Darktable+GIMP works fine for home photo editing.
If you’re used to Photoshop and your skills with it is what puts bread on the table… then I completely understand not switching tools.
It does sound like combat will be better, finally being able to fight in slopes without mods is a big bonus.
