I don’t think anyone is claiming that Proton is perfect, but it certainly beats not being able to play most new-ish games. Which was the situation on Linux prior to Proton.

It also makes Lemmy objectively less safe because it’s much less effective at limiting stalking and harassment. Especially since way blocks work on Lemmy isn’t clearly communicated to the user.

I’m contemplating making the same move. Google killing sideloading also kills the last reason for me to stick with Android, so I may as well go with the phone by the company that hasn’t based literally its entire business model around harvesting user data for targeted advertising.
