Ah yes, the famously communist Russian Federation. The RF is nakedly an imperial fascist regime that doesn’t even have communist window dressing, it boggles the mind that self-proclaimed communists and anti-imperialists support them.

there’s still enough light for cats, believe me; and they use their whiskers as navigational aid too btw
you can download it from github for free - missing the PC improvements like more quickslots and a larger inventory screen that can stay open while dungeoneering, but it’s the full game: https://github.com/00-Evan/shattered-pixel-dungeon/releases
specifically those improvements are for the paid steam release.
It would be wise to do the same with stuff like working hours too, to stop the “attendance epidemic” that is so harmful to people that they have a word for “death by overworking”. But regarding this one, as long as it stays on a level of a PSA that’s fine by me.
I’m sorry for you mate, i can feel your pain (I’m twice operated on my L5S1 disc, and struggled years with the pain). Get a second opinion. in the meantime it’s important to make sure your muscles in that area keep up - Just stay active, don’t do nothing, because that will make it worse long time.
don’t pick up heavy weights (avoid anything above 5kg without that MRI). Make sure you lie good in bed; if the slipped disc is in the lumbar area, sleep either with legs up (just as you would in a chair, 90° angles in hip and knee), or sleep on the side with something between your knees so that your legs stay parallel. if it’s in the neck area, i heard that neck pillows work pretty well. If your bed is very soft, or the mattress is already heavily worn (or the “ladder-thingy” the mattress lies on) that’s not so good for the spine - so if a replacement bed is already on the horizon, maybe prioritize that.
Most slipped discs get better over time - the material that presses on the nerves gets reabsorbed, so you’ve got that going for you.
Fashion compliments if you see someone wearing a cool shirt or a good looking style, makes the day of the person, even if no followup conversation happens! (i got a compliment regarding a shirt once, and i am still thinking back to that - it’s been years)
every cat plays differently. you might try “hiding” the toy - i have felt mice on a “fishing rod”, and for one of my cats i have to let the toy slide along the floor and disappear slowly behind a corner and then wait for her to hunt it - making small movements so she can hear the target. took a while for me to find out, try it.
Clippy already was a big step in the wrong direction from Microsoft, i’m not gonna celebrate mistakes of the past because they seem benign in comparison to todays mistakes.
The Fitgirl Repack is the 2020 version. There is a portable version released by Digitalzone (Archive size 9.49GB, based on the online-fix.me p2p release), which works online, but still needs a microsoft account according to release notes (so a burner account is preferable). Haven’t tried it, but the Digitalzone portables i did try in the past all worked well so i expect the same here.
There are analog clocks that move the minute hand only when the next minute starts. But to be honest, you might profit from a little less rigidity in your “time usage” - it’s good for your mental health to not plan everything down to the minute. If i make a private appointment, i try to set time windows of 10-15 minutes for meetups; i aim for the beginning of the window, and if i get delayed it’s of no consequence, and for longer delays i would message anyways.
Can you imagine that it’s not so long ago that people called a phone number that told you what time it will be at the next signal tone so you can set your clock?
Since “chaotic neutral” includes the mentally deranged and insane, your description is apt. But for once I agree with 4chan - if the UK don’t want to see it, they will have to close their eyes.
Therapy while being on ketamine i think. Seems to work pretty well in particularly stubborn depression.
edit: DONT just jump into the k-hole before you head to your therapist. Find a therapist who is willing to do that before.
I had the discussion regarding generated CO2 a while ago here, and with the numbers my discussion partner gave me, the calculation said that the yearly usage of ChatGPT is appr. 0.0017% of our CO2 reduction during the covid lockdowns - chatbots are not what is kiling the climate. What IS killing the climate has not changed since the green movement started: cars, planes, construction (mainly concrete production) and meat.
The exact energy costs are not published, but 3Wh / request for ChatGPT-4 is the upper limit from what we know (and thats in line with the appr. power consumption on my graphics card when running an LLM). Since Google uses it for every search, they will probably have optimized for their use case, and some sources cite 0.3Wh/request for chatbots - it depends on what model you use. The training is a one-time cost, and for ChatGPT-4 it raises the maximum cost/request to 4Wh. That’s nothing. The combined worldwide energy usage of ChatGPT is equivalent to about 20k American households. This is for one of the most downloaded apps on iPhone and Android - setting this in comparison with the massive usage makes clear that saving here is not effective for anyone interested in reducing climate impact, or you have to start scolding everyone who runs their microwave 10 seconds too long.
Even compared to other online activities that use data centers ChatGPT’s power usage is small change. If you use ChatGPT instead of watching Netflix you actually safe energy!
Water is about the same, although the positioning of data centers in the US sucks. The used water doesn’t disappear tho - it’s mostly returned to the rivers or is evaporated. The water usage in the US is 58,000,000,000,000 gallons (220 Trillion Liters) of water per year. A ChatGPT request uses between 10-25ml of water for cooling. A Hamburger uses about 600 galleons of water. 2 Trillion Liters are lost due to aging infrastructure. If you want to reduce water usage, go vegan or fix water pipes.

There’s a distinctive difference between american evangelists and other christian groups, for starters that the evangelists have been integrated in the state-religion the USA has been running at least since the cold war., and they are actively utilized by the Republicans. This also means that those evangelists believe that in the US white nationalists should be in power.
Please note that the “christian” part in this has gone pretty far from any christian roots - it’s for the most part just utilized to identify the in-group and to radicalize members. The quip “Y’all qaeda” comes pretty close to the truth - they are just as radical and socially regressive as any other islamic sect that would use terror to achieve their goals.
The review does sound pretty dope tho, like a mixture of dishonored, disco elysium and enhanced telltale-game. like you i will keep my expectations low, but what i read in the hands-on review sounded better than expected from a game that has been through dev-hell and back.
It’s also pretty normal in europe - It’s pretty cheap if you compare it to the cost in fuel and wear on the car if you want to make a long distance vacation, and it beats driving long hours of mostly highway during the time where EVERYONE drives into vacation and traffic jams are common.
I wouldn’t laugh. Those people fulfill a basic human need in a way they feel safe with - probably because this safety is missing from their life. It’s not healthy to be so attached to LLMs, but to become so attached they must feel pretty isolated. And LLM’s are a lot more interactive and responsive than Severus Snape, and he had lots of women “channeling” him.
I can fully understand? The average human, from my perspective and lived experience, is garbage to his contemporaries; and one is never safe from being hurt, neither from family or friends. Some people have been hurt more than others - i can fully understand the need for exchange with someone/something that genuinely doesn’t want to hurt you and that is (at least seemingly) more sapient than a pet.
If you survived university this long, you must either be really good at cheating or you have imposter syndrome. My now Ex-wife graduated in a medical field 10 years ago, and the first year of her job she thought that she doesn’t know enough. Then she realized how the others around her worked, and came to the conclusion that she had enough knowledge to use her critical thinking and to know where to look something up if she didn’t know it. In the working world, noone has an issue with you looking something up you don’t know by heart.
Also, i can only mirror what others here said - get on Github and find a project that interests you, or try modding a game you really like; It doesn’t only mean you get practice, but also gives you the self assurance you are currently lacking.
