18·5 days agoGreat ! I think its time we created the Selfhosted manifesto!
Im just happy to see that Arc Raiders have been able to keep 91% of their players since launch, whilst Battlefield 6 has lost 85% of their players since launch. Obviously Arc Raiders is doing something right 😅But you’re right, its not a pve game per se. Its a PvPvE.

5·14 days agoI tried it couple of months ago for a couple of weeks straight, but as someone who searches in multiple languages it just didnt do the job very well. I looked up multiple guides and tried to configure it to my best ability but the results just were not great. For search now I’m completely addicted to Kagi, by far the most polished and best results.
I will give it a try in the future when i acquire a GPU for AI, I will then pair SearXNG with OpenWebUI, think that will be a fun project!
Can i please be that friend? 🥹

6·27 days agoPunycode is an ASCII‑compatible encoding that converts Unicode domain names, eg. containing non‑ASCII characters, into a limited character set using the “xn–” prefix so they can be used in the “normal” DNS system.
For ex: the domain bücher.de is represented in Punycode as bücher.de, test it if u like 😊

2·30 days agoTalos is really awesome, its a minimal OS strictly built to run kubernetes. We use it at work and its running in production for a lot of people. Its extremely minimal and can only be used via its own api, talosctl command. Its minimalism makes it great for security and less resource heavy than alternatives.
Check this out for a quick’ funny taste of why one should consider using Talos >>

Talos is under MPL 2.0, afaik that is open-source.

1·1 month agoAs i wrote in my post, im already using uptimekuma to monitor my services. However if i choose the “docker container” mode foe uptimekuma to monitor it cant actually so that, as there is no health feature in most containers, so this results in 100% downtime 🙃 Other way would to do it would to just check the url of the service whoch ofc works too, but its not a “true” health check.

1·1 month agoNice one that, fortunately i just rebuilt my server with an i5-12400 new fancy case amd slowly transitioning to an all in ssd build! I would probably lean towards a singlenode cluster using Talos.

Art, supposedly…
