  • I am very skeptical of any article that boldly claims that China is on the rise and the US is in decline. We’ve been hearing about this decades. People underestimate just how corrupt, dysfunctional, and incompetent the Chinese system is under the CCP. People think the US is worse only because the US is an open country. China’s isolation give it the illusion that it’s better, but in reality, it’s even worse. Every major Chinese achievement from their mass transit system to their big corporations to their economic growth to them pulling ahead technologically to so many more, all come with big asterisks attached that make them much more questionable.

  • In your delusions maybe, but back here in the real world, the reality is different. Hamas has already taken responsibility and they’re very explicit about what they did and what their goals were. They miscalculated horribly as they thought taking hostages would give them enough leverage to get away with their attacks, as Israel usually goes to great lengths to retrieve them. However, the far right government decided to ignore their own protocols and ditch the hostages entirely in favor of razing Gaza. Nearly 2 years later and Gaza is rubble and at least 60k are dead. Hamas has to take responsibility and ensure the slaughter they brought upon their people ends otherwise Israel won’t stop.

  • Hamas will and should never surrender, they are the only armed resistance to the Palestinian holocaust.

What resistance? You people are actually delusional. Their biggest act of “resistance” in their 19 years of rule was the Oct 7th terrorist attacks where they killed a bunch of civilians and accomplished absolutely nothing strategic besides giving Israel the justification to go into Gaza and bulldoze everything. They have done absolutely nothing to Israel or protect Gaza in the past 2 years. Armed resistance my ass.

If Hamas has any sense of duty left to the people of Gaza, then they need to actively work with their allies, or at least whoever is willing to cooperate with them, on handing power over to the PA to ensure that Palestine stays united and in Palestinian hands after they’re forced to inevitably sign a ceasefire treaty with Israel. This idea of Hamas stubbornly staying in power until the very last Gazan is not resistance, it’s stupidity.

The issue is that you’re a minority in your camp. Broadly speaking, the left sees compromise as weakness, neutrality as cowardice, working with opposition towards a common cause as treachery. These are all symptoms of purity testing, and it’s the reason why the left in so many places is completely paralyzed.

A professor in college once said something that stayed with me. He said that “bad ideologies will always find ways to self implode”.

This stuck with me because it’s true. Good ideologies tend to be pragmatic and flexible, and so they’re able to adapt and evolve. However, bad ideologies tend to be more rigid and focus mostly on theories and ideals, and therefore they’re unable to adapt or evolve. Far left ideologies firmly fall in the latter category which is why they are where they are.

  • Who will be ignored next?

    • Sudan
    • Myanmar
    • Armenia
    • Afghanistan
    • Tibet

These aren’t next, these are already forgotten even though they’re catastrophes. Hell, even Ukraine is being forgotten even though it’s one the biggest wars in 21st century. When India and Pakistan looked like they were about to go to war, this Israel/Palestine war was also pushed to the back of people’s minds.

I think this is the just the nature of humans. People want to think they’re noble and righteous, but they won’t actually do anything, and the moment a new war starts they’ll move on to that because it’s new and we have short attention spands.
