91·1 day agoThere are programs for people with felonies to find jobs, typically found under “re-entry” or “second chance”. They’re often sucky, poorly paid jobs though.
As much as I love this idea, especially the suggestion to place it like a parking ticket, I have less dexterity in my hands than I do in my legs lol
Maybe I need to befriend a few neighborhood urchins xD
This happens where I live and I keep wondering how crazy I would be to complain about it. The parking spots aren’t long enough for trucks, so they back in and completely cover the sidewalk. I need to use mobility devices to get around and usually have to fight my way through the grass because there isn’t enough room for my walker. I’m not looking forward to this fight when snow is on the ground

8·4 days agoMy neighbor looks a little bit worse for wear and is just a couple years older than him. My neighbor is a raging alcoholic though.
Some people age faster than others, but for sure alcohol and no sunscreen will age us faster
My 16yo cat is definitely a prim and proper old lady. Oddly, I call the 4yo Maine Coon “little man” even though he’s easily 4x the old lady’s size
I’m probably forever going to call my dog “bestest girl”, but she’s starting to get a grey muzzle too

My therapist told me that a diagnosis of a mental health disorder means you have a disability*. So if they choose not to hire you because of your ASPD diagnosis, in the US at least, that’s discrimination against a protected class. I have AvPD, and that was a concern for me too
*(although many disorders don’t always earn the label “disability” when a person is seeking benefits)
