Yay, and about time. :)
40 year old she/her or they/them or any pronoun. I’m a woman… I think. I pretend to be an elf on the Internet. I’m mostly attracted to femininity.
I use tone indicators.

Depending on which VPN you’re using, you might be able to put the NAS on the VPN too. If for example you use Nord, they have a feature called Meshnet that gives each computer a unique hostname that you can access via the VPN.
Sounds petty, but… yeah, important distinction. You don’t actually own any game on Steam. They even have to explicitly make that clear at checkout now.
What better alternative to Discord are we all recommending at the moment, by the way? I know “almost anything else except WhatsApp or Telegram” but what’s the simple three-word “use X instead” right now?
I always tell the honest truth. I’m an utterly terrible liar. /lie
Fun fact: the bananas that are bred for human consumption are herbs. They don’t contain any seeds, and they grow on herbaceous bushes.
I watched that on the Hub
Yes, you absolutely can! It’s not a forever decision. You always have the option to switch OS. :)
You do have options. You could run Windows 11 Enterprise IoT edition, which is Windows 11 with lower hardware requirements and significantly less bloat. Or, you could switch to Linux and run Windows in a virtual machine for those edge cases where only Windows will do.
Yes, they definitely make 3 litre bottles.
Now that you point it out, that was actually a typo, I meant 3l. But I’m not gonna edit it because I find it funny. :)
Happens every year, doesn’t it?
I’m not talking about a generational divide. I’m talking about feeling old. Me, being in my 40s. Perhaps I could’ve led with that.
Have you considered the meaning of the words “young enough to”?
I’d imagine it’s like downing an entire 4l bottle of Pepsi Max. Seems innocuous, but you’re gonna have a bad time.
In addition to the other answers: if you want a download manager, you should be able to install JDownloader 2 from the Discover app store in desktop mode. That one is fine. Just don’t download it from the website, it comes with all sorts of adware crap. Get it from Discover.
Maybe you’re right, I don’t get it. Because from where I’m sitting, ears don’t have anything to do with it, any loss in quality already happened when the music was encoded as an mp3. You can’t magically restore the missing bits by transcoding it to a different format, even if that format is lossless, because the loss already happened.
Most people aren’t born vegan :)
I’m just not sure how transcoding an existing MP3 file to ogg would restore its quality given that the bits are already gone, is all
What else is it gonna be used for while Mario 64 is running, though?
