Good write up. If you are trashing due to swap reads isnt that a sign that you’ve under specced your ram for the workload? If you try fix the issue by reducing swappiness wont you run into the same issue when you need to refetch the dropped pages from disk again.

why would you think I demonize Sanders? I said “left” not far left or center left. I disagree he would be center left at best in Europe but it doesnt matter. Sanders is what I consider a good left wing candidate maybe not so much today because hes to old but before.

Yeah I had an apple machine running filevault get locked out of its file system during an update and end up with no OS. Tried to revert back to before the update but the encryption keys werent working to unlock it. I had to install a new OS which isnt to bad on mac. Worst part was it wasnt even a major upgrade just a security patch.

No windows is pretty reliable with its updates. Most of the issues in windows are from HP and dell shipping bad driver updates.

What is he doing/done that would actually a game changer? Tell me why I should be excited about him because it seems to be that the only unique thing about him is he openly criticizes isreal. None of what he is doing is unique. There are plenty of dem candidates that have listened to people over money. dems are worried about associating with him because he has controversial opinions that might not go down so well outside of NY. Pretty much everything you’ve said is just fantasy you’ve invented.

I think ublue will win over nix in the longrun. Its layered approach to system design seems far more sane. Being able to take a base image and apply gaming patches over it then apply your own personal layer is such a great way for multiple people to build off the same base and not have to resign the wheel everytime.

NixOS is more fun for the user from a tinker point of view but Ublue is better for the distributors and the non tinker end users.
