    It’s a super misleading headline. The person on the other end only intervenes if the car gets into a situation that it can’t handle which might require a slight breaking of the law (like a u-turn if the road is obstructed).

    The car is still self driving the vast majority of the time.

      Ok so let me ask you this.

      You have a young fellow looking to get his driving license. This person passes most of the driving test but at some point stops and tells the DMV person “I can’t figure out how to navigate around this construction site/ambulance/special situation”… would that person get a driver’s license?
