That’s intentional, and it’s why ALL of these ridiculous social media companies do it this way.

Only the present matters. Why would you have anything to gain from seeing history? /s

That reminds me: we should demand Fediverse stuff display proper timestamps. Even now, your comment is showing as “41m [ago]” for me viewing it in Voyager, which is just being part of the problem for no good reason.

I suppose there’s no reason it couldn’t show both, or let you toggle, or even provide a built-in screenshotting function that includes an absolute timestamp even while the normal UI displays relative time.

Some time between the murder of Alex Pretti and three days before today. Which is a relatively narrow range, all things considered.

It was a month ago today. In normal times, that would indeed be a small range.

We are not living in normal times.

A month might as well be a year with how much awful shit is happening so frequently. Supposedly, some of the DHS Gestapo has been pulled out of Michigan. Has it made things better? Worse? No noticable change at all? Did they actually pull out, or are they just lying and saying they did? Who can say for sure? Certainly not anyone reading this tweet because IT LACKS A FUCKING TIMESTAMP!
