I knew the technique but I had never tried this before so this is the first piece I’ve ever made. Surprisingly meditative activity.
I think I’ll try nettles next. Should produce an actually usable product.
Processed some nettles and hung them drying. A bit more serious attempt this time to try and produce something actually functional.
Nettles are great! Just dont get the cordage wet, it will get very loose. Maybe there’s a way to treat it against that?
Anyways, rubbing that pile in your hands will release a lot of the green flakey stuff an little knots that remain, if you’ve got the time and patience I recommend it.
If you make enough of it you should be able to do a basket or a hat

I only know how to do a braid.
Seems better than just twisting 3 threads together. Interesting method.
