      It’s hard to know. The article is super brief and mostly is rehashing the context of what happened with Britain and Apple up to this point. This is the only paragraph I could find that seemed like actual new events:

      Tulsi Gabbard, the U.S. director of national intelligence, said in a social media post on Monday night that Britain had “agreed to drop its mandate for Apple to provide a ‘back door’ that would have enabled access to the protected encrypted data of American citizens and encroached on our civil liberties.”

      The article states that Britain will spare Apple from creating a tool to give the government access to cloud data but then the only quote they provide is ambiguous as to whether this is only an exemption for Americans. In the article they state neither Apple nor the UK government commented.
