It’s always saddening to see people regurgitatating the kind of jingoistic rhetoric alt-right parties the world over rely on, as some kind of edgily scathing indictment of just american culture. If an american were to discount everyone from a culture like this, it’d be quite rightly called out as unacceptable. Why is the same behavior somehow acceptable just because it’s perceived as turnabout? Doesn’t that paint them as identical in rhetoric, but somehow even more bitter in motivation? Just disappointing…
