I’m not a roofer - don’t know shit about roofing or construction, actually - but you don’t like experts, and I’m certainly not a roofing expert, just another ignorant monkey with a hammer and a lot of misplaced confidence in my abilities. That’s hardly surprisingly behavior for a group that’s based part of its collective identity on distrust of subject matter experts.
And I get it, I do. Experts are mighty inconvenient when you’re completely wrong about everything.
