    My question is why are we financing a Civic at 21 years old? Spend way less money and buy an older vehicle outright. Then you will own it and you can get much cheaper insurance.

      It’s a small, 7 year old, used sedan. Sure there exist older and cheaper cars on earth but it doesn’t seem like a lavish excess to me.

      Becuase people without reserve capital can’t afford to take risks so they must buy something with degree of reliability that can’t be bought for 5k.

      This way the money chager get to fuck person in OP twice once on interest and another time with insurance.
