31·24 days agoWhat a nothing burger of an argument, keep moving the goalpost brochacho you don’t even know which textures we are talking about
Photos are taken by people, procedural textures are made from algorithms made by people. AI generated textures are made using models fed with stolen work made by people, and don’t even get me started on the energy consumption on every step of the way.
Notice the difference?
But seriously, why do you give a fuck about the topic if you are just going to dismiss everything?

They later patched them after people pointed it out

Holding my click on a volume slider triggered the feature so it quickly became really annoying
Thanks I already did that, but it still ticks me off that I had to find out they added this while using the browser. This shit should be off by default.
It does if you have a default install
Hold your click for at least one second on any link and it will show a preview of the link and suggest you to use AI to describe it
I just setup a script in Steam to boot to Windows (you can find it on the bazzite docs)
For a while I booted to bazzite by default and just used that script when needed
I mean yeah of course, but I want the same for every stray dog I encounter every day.
That’s why I think this whole “I’m gonna freeze my dog spending a lot of money and energy to do it just betting on some company to actually keep it frozen” while there are actual cases of companies disposing of human bodies due to closing down is dumb.
I don’t need my dog to live 100 years if I know other dogs are dying on the streets, I just want them to live a good life and die when the time comes. And I’ll keep taking care of dogs as long as I live.
Atlas made good points about it, I also don’t trust cryo companies promoting this.
My energy, time and money would be better spent adopting another dog. It would be selfish of me to go that far for a partner that already gave me their best years.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bazzite just delivered over a petabyte of ISOs in a single month
5·1 month agoNo they can’t, they can only say “flavor of the month” nonstop until another parrot catches it and repeats it
I can counter argument their non-existing argument, if bazzite dies tomorrow you are free to rebase to any other Fedora Atomic distro

It’s the best Minecraft launcher right now so it doesn’t surprise me that much. Anyone playing Minecraft on Linux (Windows too) should use it
