People are just fucking stupid about food.

When you pick up a raw potato, shave it down and boil it or whatever. That counts as processing. What else are you going to do? Just bite into it and risk being infected by pests and whatever else surrounded that raw potato? Sure you can clean it but it may not do the job completely.

Some foods need to be processed so that we can eat them. It becomes a problem when say, we take that same raw potato, shave it down, decide “hmmmmm…it needs about 24mg of sugar because the rawness tastes bad!” THEN we can say ultra-processed.

Just freezing some foods like frozen vegetables/fruits does not count as ultra-processed, that’s preserving the freshness of them being plucked and cleaned.

I roll my eyes everytime a stadium is named after some company, it’s just a reminder of how radioactive capitalism is in america.

Because they tend to breed assholes there.

Best Buy is trying to make it a trend for retailers to stop selling physical media, with Target only selling them online. A lot of tech companies now have basically exited from optical media, with fewer weighing their options.

Physical media still has a place but it’s on slow-burn right now, where we’re seeing major players dropping out from bothering with them, so in the oncoming years, we’re going to have to rely on grabbing them out in the wild or hope third party manufacturers keep it alive.

I hope the trend of showing old movies continues for a long time. It gives people the opportunity to experience what it’s like to watch good classics on a big screen.

I stopped at Gen 4.

I look at Pokemon now and where it is and all I can think is how lazy and cash-grabby it really tries to be. Not like it hasn’t been cash-grabby before, it was just a lot more clever about it back in the day and striking while the iron was very hot. But the developers of Pokemon have gained a reputation as being considerably lazy and nuanced about where they’re taking the series. For example, Satoru Iwata is the key reason that Gold and Silver was able to have both the Johto and Kanto regions. He helped use a special compression method that made it work, while the original devs were fretting about in how to do it and was considering cutting content out.

These days though, it’s been evident how truly lazy the devs are, they’ve relied on name brand alone to carry them. Like yes, I know Pokemon was geared for kids and everything should be simple and all. But even the kids deserve something better than what garbage that has been shoveled out.

It can get pricey.

I like the idea of having a real tree, to have that nice pine scent in the room and how it flourishes with the decor. But I’ve been leaning towards getting artificial ones.

Yeah but my point is, we’d still have democrats in office to ensure no Republican is voted in to destroy the country from within. Gore would’ve won over Bush, we’d still have Obama, we might’ve even had Bernie Sanders or so. All politicians who’re democratic who might not just keep Reaganism alive, they have their own ways too.

If the saying ‘assholes live forever’ is true, then I would like to think that I’m just an asshole enough that I’m buying years while occasionally being nice and doing good things for people without humble bragging about it.

Streaming was supposed to ‘replace’ cable television, because people were fed up of forced commercials, unavailable content and restrictions on cable television.

Well, streaming got maybe some of that corrected. However, it has turned itself into a hydra where the content is here, there and over there with price tags on every service. Ads are now forced onto us but we now have “control” over them, I guess (if you don’t ad-block).

So it’s like cable television all over again.

They were looking to have another Postal III on their hands anyways. Looking at the profile of the studio on Steam, they haven’t really made any solid games. What made RWS think ‘yeah we trust these guys’ with that kind of portfolio?

My managers at work offered me to start early yesterday and the day before.

I accepted both times. Even though today I called off, I knew I needed what extra time I could get in to help even some of the odds knowing I’ve got no PPTO to cover the time off and taking largely a hit on my next paycheck. My second paycheck is going to be the fun/necessary paycheck for the holidays too.

Cast iron is overrated. And people overthink a lot about it being seasoned. Really though, you still have to care for it and it isn’t like you can just re-season the pan. Just make sure it doesn’t rust.

We make it so Reagan still runs but doesn’t win presidency, ever, until he dies. We make sure Bill Clinton doesn’t do that incident with Monica that got him impeached so he can still have some goodwill with the people enough to make them think we want the current path he paved to continue.

What would’ve really needed to happen is to speak to the parents and the school about “hey, your child and student is doing some pretty fucked up things and they’re raising the stakes soon, so you may want to commit them somewhere or talk or smack some sense into them”

I’d pump the brakes on technology. Especially the internet.

“Does X need to be improved?” “No” “Then we don’t progress it because its current state functions and does things as efficiently right now” “Does Y need to be improved?” “Yes” “Then we research, fund and progress it”

Phones would be fun again and not just a series of rectangles with silicone. They’d have any design that they want, so long as it still functions normally as a phone would.
