Records are bulky, heavy, and horribly environmentally bad. Cassettes aren’t as bad but are really inconvenient.

I got rid of all of those years ago and I am so glad I did.

I still have a music collection, I don’t use streaming services though. And no no CDs either.

I don’t know about copying to my phone, I just stream to it. All the actual files are on a server with several ways to access that.

But podcasts sync without issue to a tiny mp3 device I take kayaking.

I have it connected to over 4tb of my music and its fast, searches work on many levels, and I have never seen a player better.

What’s wrong with Clementine? I have yet to find a better desktop music player. Radios, podcasts, library, playlists, what’s missing?

That is bullshit. DDG will give you an ai answer, infrequently, and ask if you want more, less, or none. And that is just a result. To continue the AI option of asking follow up questions you have to opt in.

This is not true. They do not think or reason. They have code that appears to reason, but it definitely is not.

I work on a day to day basis with Microsoft products and services, including cloud environments, SQL databases, Azure lakes, etc.

I do it ALL from Linux, and if I have to I will remote into windows machines. I do it because I don’t have time for Windows nonsense. I need my machine to work, so I can work and get paid. Linux is easy to set up and has very few surprises. It just works.

The last two times I installed Ubuntu somewhat recently, it was broken at the install. I fixed it, but it shouldn’t be that way. The hardware was nothing exotic or interesting either.

I suppose I should have clarified: Ubuntu desktop. I don’t really have a problem with Ubuntu server, although why bother when you can just use Debian. Did you choose it for the newer packages?
